"Once Upon A Dream"

It's like I'm dreaming all day everyday. (Except for right now I wish I was dreaming and not awake so early). It's so hard to fill in on everything that has happened this week. Friday morning I had traditions. It's a pretty cool class that helps us better understand the Disney company. It's also where we get our blue ID and name tags! Friday after traditions I was able to go to Magic Kingdom with a few of my roommates and I was so thrilled to be home! ❤️ I bawled through Wishes and never wanted to leave! Saturday I ended up at Epcot in the morning and Hollywood studios at night. Once again watching fantasmic at the end of the night was such a heart warming welcome home! Yesterday Sydney and I went to church and then we stopped by Studios to watch Beauty and the Beast and Voyage of the Little Mermaid! We made dinner for our apartment Ohana and then I went to bed early. I've been up pretty early already this morning for Welcome to Operations. My class is from 7:30-2:00 but the bus came at 6. I'll probably take a nap after class today and then who knows the plan!

Bibbity bobitty blessings!

Blessings, blessings, and more blessings.

Let's just talk for a moment about how important it is to love who you're living with. My last program was horrible when it came to having roommates that I liked/liked me. It was hard for me to come home and to feel welcomed in the place that I lived. It didn't feel like home. It felt like prison since day one.
Now on the flip side, this program is so different. From the very get go these girls have been my best friends. We instantly clicked and there hasn't been a dull moment between us. Blessing #1.

I will be working at Disney springs at Pin Traders/ Once upon a Toy. I am so excited to continue my Disney merchandise roots at such a wonderful place! I'm hoping for great hours and a lot less stress than I would have in a park! Blessing #2.

I am so much more social this program than last. I feel like I understand what is going on and so my focus is less on understanding and more on enjoying which is really nice as I tend to stress about just about everything. Being alumni has given me so much more confidence than I ever would have thought it would. Blessing #3

Traditions start on Friday for me so I'll be sure to fill y'all in!

I'M HOME!

I believe an update is in order! I am currently sitting at the Springhill Suites waiting for my check-in time! I flew from Chicago to Orlando last nigh and got into Orlando around 11:00 pm. Waiting for me was my adorable roommate Sydney and her dad in the cutest little green bug! I am so grateful that they were able to come and get me so late at night! From there we went to the hotel that we are staying at. I shared a room with Sydney, Amanda, and Amanda's mom! It was so nice to be able to meet these sweet ladies before moving in with them! It really helped calm my nerves and I totally recommend it for anyone who is not the greatest at meeting new people! Today we woke up around 7:30 and had breakfast. I check in at 11:45 and Sydney checks in at 10:15 I am going to go with her and see if I can check in a little early since I have to be at casting at 1! Amanda has already checked in and she says that we will be living in a 2 bedroom apartment with bunkbeds. I am excited to see who our 6th roommate will be since we only linked in with 5 of us! We will be living at Chatum Square which is great because that is where I lived for my last program. Today Alexis' mom has offered to make us dinner and so I believe we are going to her grandma's tonight. After that there was some talk about going to watch Wishes from a resort! I am so excited for this new adventure and I can't wait to share my magical journey with all of you! I love being an Alumni because I feel like I have a general idea of what to expect! I'll be sure to keep ya'll updated as much as I can!

ONE WEEK TILL MAGIC!

With just one week till I head to Florida my mind is filled with so many thoughts! Will this program be just like last time? How will my roommates like me after we meet in person? What will my hours be like? Will my old Disney friends want to still hang out with me? I'm so jumbled with emotions! I really am ready to go home. I've missed it for far too long. This time two years ago I was already there and done with traditions!
I fly in pretty late on Sunday and we have check-in at 7am on Monday so I hope that I can still look like a human being by the time casting rolls around. The first day is when you take pictures for your housing ID and when you go to casting for your final paper work, finger printing, and location assignments! I love the casting building! Not only is it beautiful and magical, it is the place that gives you a job at the HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH! What a cool job it must be to work there!
Right now I've been busy doing all my last minute packing and attempting to plan the family vacation in August. Not too overwhelming which is nice! I know once I get back to Disney I'll be BUSY! I know I said in my last post that I would fill you all in on discounts and such on this post but I'm going to wait on that just to make sure that nothing has changed before I give out this information! As far as I know ticketing is the only thing that has changed this far. I'll be sure to fill you all in ASAP. I'm excited to be getting the chance to share this magic with everyone and I can't wait for it all to begin!
