Faith, Trust, and Roommate Musts!

Okay. So I'm a bit lame when it comes to post titles. I promise I'll work a little harder to come up with something more clever and less cheesy next time! This week's post is on the living life for the DCP in Disney World. I can't speak for Disney Land but Disney World has some pretty cool housing complexes set aside for their interns. Last program I lived at Chatum with 7 other girls! I liked where I lived I just had a hard time living with the girls that I lived with. (Which resulted in some home sickness every once in a while) This program I have met the girl who I am hoping to room with in advance! I came in contact with these girls though a Facebook group designed for LDS participants. (For anyone who hasn't read my past blog; keepcalmanddisneyon.blogspot.com ; I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints). I posted a roommate survey on the page and found a girl who had a lot in common with me! She then invited me into her group of roommates and so far we have all become the greatest of friends! I can't wait to live with these sweet girls! So far there is 6 of us so we are hoping for Chatum but we could end up just about anywhere still! When looking for roommates it is so important to make sure that you are really going to get along with those you live with. One small miscommunication can get you terminated early from the company! You will also want to make sure that those you want to live with have the same arrival date as you! You will most likely not be placed with people coming in on days before or after you! Lastly, and in my opinion, most importantly, you want to make sure that you find roommates who fit your personal standards well. For example, I don't drink, therefore, I wouldn't want to live in Non-wellness housing as my roommates could have alcohol in the apartment. I also don't like to stay up too late when I have to be up early for work, thus, having roommates who like to be up all night partying would not work for me! Just trust yourself and know what works for you! This is an adventure and every part of it is suppose to be enjoyable! Roommates can really make or break a program experience! Make sure yours fit well with you!
